Three new members attended our Jan. meeting and several others have made contact indicating an interest. We decided to change our meeting from the first Tue. to the first Sat. of each month at 12:00 noon. Our next meeting will be on Sat. Feb. 7, 2009 at twelve noon.
The Great Human Race - held March 21, 2009.
A 5k run/walk in downtown Durham to support nonprofits like the Carolinas Chapter of MGFA.

We are fortunate that the National MGFA Annual meeting will be in Charlotte, NC on May 7-8, 2009. It will be located at the Mariott Charlotte City Center at 100 West Trade Street. Make plans now to attend now.
One of our members was elected to serve on the Carolinas MGFA Group Board of Directors. Our best wishes to him as he serves in this new capacity.
Our next meeting will be at 12:00 noon on Jan 10th, 2009. We will discuss the December 14th meeting of the Carolinas MGFA group at the Duke University School of Nursing.
We have had some new contacts in the last few weeks and hope to see some new faces at the January meeting !
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year….
Our Oct. meeting will not be held on Tue. Oct. 7, 2008. We will meet at 4:30 PM Sat. Oct. 11, 2008 with a meal of barbecue and blugrass music starting at 5:30 PM.
Our group has struggled along for almost a year with the original group. I am happy to report that we have had a great deal of new interest this month. Looking forward to new members in Oct.
The main subject of discussion during the May meeting was the relationship between the use of commonly used pesticides and MG patients. Our June meeting will be on Tue. June 3, 2008 at 6:30. A meal will be served.
The main topic of discussion during the April meeting was side effects of the most common MG drugs.
